Every litre figure on this site is measured to the closed line with the bag unstuffed. Here is what that means in clothes, and in centimetres.
We fill the bag with 20 mm plastic beads to the point where the closure shuts without strain, then weigh and convert. It is a boring method and it produces numbers you can trust: a 45 L bag here holds the same as a 45 L bag from anyone else who measures this way.
A lot of luggage is measured stuffed, or to the top of an open roll-top. That can inflate a figure by a third. If a bag elsewhere claims 45 L and looks smaller than ours, this is usually why.

Duffel dimensions are for the 45 L body; the 32 L is 8 cm shorter and the 62 L is 10 cm longer. Rucksack dimensions are rolled closed.
Airline limits change, so treat this as a guide and check before you fly. As of September 2026, the common European limits are 55 × 40 × 20 cm for a cabin bag and 40 × 30 × 20 cm for a personal item.
